In order to promote the internalization of Guangdong higher education, and advance the education development of international students, the Guangdong Province Government set up the “Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship”.
1.Scholarship Types
1）Scholarship for Current Degree students
Bachelor Degree Student: RMB10000/person
Master Degree Student: RMB20000/person
Doctoral Degree Student: RMB30000/person
2）Scholarship for New Degree students
Bachelor Degree Student: RMB10000/person
Master Degree Student: RMB20000/ person
Doctoral Degree Student: RMB30000/person
2.Eligibilities for Application
1）Essential condition
Applicants with foreign valid passport and friendly to P.R.China
2）For Current Degree students
A.The applicants must have good health.
B.Applicant should not be more than30 years old.
C.Applicant for general scholar program must be study major in GDPU more than 1 year.
D.Applicant should have good online attendance and academic record (year 2021-2022 )
overall mark ranking= yearly average mark *85%+attendance*15%+ extra bonus mark
E.Applicant should have notuition fee，dormitory fee，insurance feein arrears.
F.Applicant shouldabide the laws and decrees of the Chinese government, and will not participate in any activities in China which are deemed to be adverse to the social order of China and are inappropriate to the capacity as a student.
G.Applicant shouldprovide 2 reference letter from the teacher who was teaching you.
3）For New Degree students
A. Applicants who intend to pursue degree in GDPU with specific study plan.
B. The applicants who intend to pursue bachelor degree in GDPU, must be under the age of 30, and high school diploma, official transcript, recommendation letters by principal of high school and teacher respectively are required; if the applicant obtain diploma above high school, required documents include transcript and two recommendation letters by professors or associate professor of graduate school.
C. The applicants who intend to pursue master degree in GDPU must be under the age of 35 with bachelor degree, official transcript and two recommendation letters by professors or associate professor of graduate school are requested.
D. The applicants who intend to pursue doctoral degree in GDPU must be under the age of 40 with master degree, official transcript and two recommendation letters are requested.
3. Application Submission
Application Time: May 1 to July30
The applicants only need to email all documents to the teachers. Before you submit, please make sure the files are clearly written and filled out. And please do not change the format of the application forms.
After you finish filling in the forms,please Put all of the files in a ZIP archive and name the ZIP archive with “your passport name (written in all capitals)+ Students ID ” and then email it to the teacher.Please use email-providers that are easily accessible in China such as QQMail, 163mail and Mail that you do not need special software to access. Do not use GMail as we might run into communication problems.

4. Nomination Procedure
1) Evaluations will be made by the Guangdong Government Outstanding Student Scholarship Assessment Committee of GDPU and the candidates will be notified.
2) Department of Education of Guangdong Province will organize the experts to assess the applications and make the final decision.
3) School of International Education of GDPU announces the list of students winning the scholarship awards.
